The province of Saskatchewan has expanded its in-demand occupation list from 19 to over 200 occupations in the Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand streams.
Beginning September 18, 2019, Saskatchewan has changed the eligibility requirements for the Express Entry sub-category. Candidates required to have work experience previously in an occupation listed on Saskatchewan’s in-demand list do not need to have work experience in a high-skilled occupation which is not listed on Saskatchewan’s Excluded Occupations List.
High-skilled work experience can be any work experience that is obtained at National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B.
Candidates in the Express Entry pool who receive a provincial nomination through the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category are given an additional 600 points towards their Express Entry CRS score which ensures them to get and invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence (PR) in the next draw.
Now SINP list 130 occupations that are excluded, and it has 218 occupations that are eligible under which candidates can apply through the PNP program.
