Skilled Workers Stream
New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream
The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is designed for Foreign Nationals who possess the skills, education and work experience needed to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy. Candidates must meet the program’s minimum eligibility requirements, have a genuine offer of employment from a New Brunswick Employer and have the full intent to live and work in the province on a permanent basis.
This program will also help New Brunswick employers, unable to fill job vacancies with a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, recruit foreign nationals and international graduates whose skills are needed in the province.
Eligibility
The new stream requires a full-time job offer in one of the below categories:
High-skilled workers: NOC 0, A, B.
Semi-skilled workers: NOC C.
Low-skilled workers: NOC D skill type 7, 8 and 9.
Candidates must be offered a competitive wage and need to have the required certificate or license for regulated occupations.
New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream: Selection Factor
Candidates are required to score 60 points from 100 based on a list of selection factors for the Skilled Worker Stream.
1) Age
The age range to qualify is 19 to 55-years old. Candidates can score up to 10 points.
2) Language
Canadian Language Benchmark 4 in English or French as the minimum language score. Candidates can score up to 28 points.
3) Education
Secondary education remains the minimum requirement for the stream. Total 20 points are available for education.
4) Work Experience
Work experience must be full time, obtained in the last five years, and in a NOC related to the candidate’s job offer. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience, except in the case of international graduates, who do not require any experience. Total 20 points are alloted.
5) Priority Sectors
10 points for job offers in:
Transportation.
Health care.
Manufacturing.
Education.
Business service centres.
6) Adaptability
Candidates are alloted points for adaptability.
Express Entry Stream
New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is designed for Foreign Nationals with the skills, education and work experience to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy, who are ready to live and work in New Brunswick and meet the requirements for each stage of the Express Entry Stream.
1. The New Brunswick Express Entry stream is currently accepting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) via the INB portal from individuals who meet all of the following submission criteria:
a. The applicant has submitted a federal Express Entry Profile and has a valid Federal Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code.
b. The applicant is currently living and working in New Brunswick; a letter of employment from the employer must be provided
c. The applicant has a valid Canadian Work Permit; a pdf copy must be provided
d. The NOC Code for this current employment is for a position that matches NOC Level 0, A, or B: NOC Code must be provided
e. The applicant has valid language test scores (IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF Canada) with scores equivalent to CLB 7 in all four language competencies: test scores, and a pdf copy of these test results must be provided
f. The applicant has a valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) which attests to the minimum equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma: a pdf copy of the ECA must be provided
All candidates invited in this manner must meet regular eligibility requirements of the program and submit a complete and correct application to be considered for provincial nomination.
2. New Brunswick will, on occasion, invite candidates directly from the federal Express Entry pool in response to provincial labour-market needs.
Candidates selected in this manner will receive a Notification or Letter of Interest (LOI) from the Province of New Brunswick via their Federal Express Entry account. Candidates who do receive a Letter of Interest from the Province of New Brunswick should proceed in the following manner:
Register in INB and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Express Entry Stream.
Once your EOI is successfully submitted, contact at entree.express.entry@gnb.ca with the subject line: NB LOI.
Include in your message:
Your full name, as it appears in your INB profile;
a pdf copy or screenshot of the Letter of Interest that you received to your Federal Express Entry account;
your federal Express Entry Profile Number (E00*******).
Once the province verifies your LOI and acknowledge receipt of your message, you will then receive your Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream via your INB Notification Centre.
All candidates invited in this manner must meet regular eligibility requirements of the program and submit a complete and correct application to be considered for provincial nomination.
Entrepreneurial Stream
New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream
The New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream is designed for experienced business owners and senior managers who wish to become permanent residents by owning a business in New Brunswick (NB) and managing it, while residing in the Province.
Eligibility
Must be between the age of 22 and 55 years
Have a minimum of a two-year post-secondary education
Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in English/French
Intends to live and operate a the day-to-day managment of business in New Brunswick
Have an approved business plan that shows how the business will benefit New Brunswick
Have a net worth of a minimum CAD $600,000 of which $300,000 must be able to be used immediately
Have a minimum three out of five years of experience in managing and owning a business (of at least 33.3%) or have five years out of five of experience in a senior role in the business supervised at least two employees
Intends to live permanently in New Brunswick, while owning and managing a business
Score at least 65 points on New Brunswick's unique selection criteria grid.

You must score a minimum of 65 points out of 100 to be eligibile.
