Federal Skilled Worker Class

 The Minimum Eligibility Criteria

  • 1 year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled occupation classified under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill level 0, A or B.

  • English or French language ability equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or French in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

  • Educational credential - degree, diploma, or certificate with the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report.

Pre-requisites to applying

To be able to apply under the Federal Skill Worker Class program (FSWP) you must meet the minimum requirements and obtain 67 points from a score of 100 points.

Funds

If you are invited to apply you must prove you have the requisite amount of settlement funds and prove you can established themselves in Canada.

Medical Exams

As soon as you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) you must complete your medical examination.

Application Fees in Canadian dollars (CAD)

  • Principal applicant ($550 processing fee + $490 right of permanent residence fee) = $1,040

  • Spouse or common-law partner ($550 processing fee + $490 right of permanent residence fee) = $1,040

  • Dependant child of the principal applicant who is under 22 years = $150 per child
