Quebec to boost immigration levels in 2022
Québec government plans to welcome between 49,500 and 52,500 immigrants in 2022.
the government is also adding another 18,000 people who applied but were not admitted in 2020 because of the pandemic, which means a new grand total of about 70,500 for 2022.
Quebec’s goal is that 65 per cent of the total fall into the category of economic immigration, which means the people are either skilled workers, entrepreneurs or investors. The percentage of persons who already speak French is about 82 per cent.
