The federal government will be tested for COVID-19 as a means to relax existing quarantine rules.
As reported first by the Toronto Sun, returning travellers will still be legally required to undergo a 14-day quarantine, but those who agree to a COVID-19 test upon entry can — if they test negative — forego quarantine if they agree to a second test within a week.
