Today, February 19, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 4,500 candidates in the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residence.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) score was 470. This is a 2-points decrease from the last draw on February 5th.
Express Entry was introduced by IRCC in 2015 and is one of the most popular routes for skilled workers to immigrate to Canada and today’s draw of 4,500 is the biggest draw in its history.
The goal of IRCC is to admit new permanent residents in Canada through the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Trades Program and the Canadian Experience Class is scheduled to increase to 85,800 this year.
A key fact to note is that there are currently 144,042 candidates to date in the Express Entry Pool; and there are 21,116 candidates who have a CRS score of 451 and higher.
