Appointing a Representative to Assist with Applications: OINP Update
March17: Representatives are not permitted to appoint themselves. This means that a client must appoint a representative to act on their behalf using their own Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) profile in the e-Filing system.
To appoint a representative, the client must create their own OINP profile using their:
· personal email address
· personal phone number
The OINP has recently seen an increase in representatives appointing themselves, particularly immigration consultants. This is not permitted or appropriate.
